Our client, Dairysafe, is a South Australian independent statutory authority committed to ensuring the safe production of dairy products in South Australia. The organisation’s role is to ensure that South Australian dairy products are produced by accredited businesses operating in accordance with an approved food safety arrangement, and that Australia’s food safety standards are complied with at each point in the supply chain, which includes working closely with dairy farmers, raw milk transporters and dairy product processors. 

The rare and exciting opportunity now exists for a proven leader to join the organisation at a pivotal time.  We are seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead Dairysafe into the future, ensuring best-practice standards, accreditation and the delivery of exemplary services continue to be met, while working closely with the Board to implement a range of sustainability initiatives, ensuring Dairysafe’s rich history as an independent authority continues into the future. 

Reporting to the Dairysafe Board, you will drive the organisation’s strategy; fostering strong stakeholder relationships, while ensuring compliance and reporting with national food safety regulations in a fit for purpose manner, guiding the organisation forward as it embarks on its 2025-2028 strategic directions. 

You will be a highly energetic, results oriented business leader who will likely have a strong background in regulation, legal and/or compliance, regardless of industry, matched with a contemporary business, pragmatic and strategic outlook which will allow you to continue the modernisation of the regulatory service while building the capacity of Dairysafe in step with industry and regulatory requirements.

You will be leading a small, highly capable and immensely valued team of professionals, based in contemporary offices at Parkside, SA, and reporting to a professional Board of Directors. A competitive remuneration package is on offer, as is immense job satisfaction.
