Manager, Public Health Intelligence & System Environment

Our client, the Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW) assists the Minister for Health and Wellbeing to set the policy framework and strategic directions for SA Health. The Public Health Division works with and for the South Australian Community to improve public health and population health outcomes through the provision of services, advice, education, support, policy, leadership and advocacy, administering legislation and partnering with service providers, government agencies and the private sector to identify and respond to current and emerging public health and clinical issues and opportunities.  The position is now available for a Manager, Public Health Intelligence and System Environment (PHISE) to join the Division.

Reporting to the General Manager, Administrative Services, the Manager PHISE will oversee the delivery of secure, automated, digital solutions for the Division and collaboratively work towards the achievement of the Division’s Strategic Plan via the initiation, planning and provision of subject-matter expertise on information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure projects.

With highly developed interpersonal skills, you will build collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and service providers and ensure changes in current systems and technology adhere to the needs of the business, legislation, policies, standards and best practise requirements, ultimately helping to improve health outcomes for DHW and the wider South Australian community.

Success in this role will be underpinned by your experience in managing procurement and information technology projects, delivering large ICT solutions in a complex environment and proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams within a health setting. Although not essential, a tertiary qualification in project management, information technology or a relevant discipline is desirable and will further support your success.
