Our client, the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) is a key economic development agency working in partnership with South Australia’s primary industries, regional stakeholders and all levels of government to advance the prosperity and sustainability of SA’s primary industries and regional communities.

A passionate team of 800 working across metropolitan and regional SA, PIRSA develops and protects SA’s food, wine, aquaculture, fisheries, forestry, grains, livestock, dairy and horticulture industries.

The rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of two Senior Industry Development Advisors who will be a key part of the Industry Partnerships and Intelligence Team within the Industry, Strategy and Partnerships Division.

We are seeking commercially astute problem solvers with excellent abstract thinking, strategic planning, corporate advisory and industry relevant experience to work closely with PIRSA’s clients in any of the areas identified above, covering the broad spectrum of agriculture, food or wine.

Your keen and enquiring mind coupled with pragmatism, a deep interest in the work of PIRSA and a desire to optimise opportunities for South Australia will see you enjoy an immense level of job satisfaction in working with industry leaders across the State and nationally. Your focus will be on gathering and analysing industry intelligence to identify challenges and opportunities, provide advice on current topical and strategic issues facing SA’s key agricultural sectors, and contribute to PIRSA’s broader government projects addressing productivity, innovation and capability development. Your sound and practical advice will assist industries to meet technical market access requirements and to grow and prosper.
