Our client, the South Australia Police (SAPOL) provides a diverse range of services to the community. These services are aimed at producing a safe and peaceful environment by the minimisation of crime and disorder. It is a large, complex government agency which, because of the nature of its operations, is required to remain highly accountable always. SAPOL provides services across the State 24 hours per day.
The exciting, rare and senior executive level opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a new Director to take whole of business responsibility for the Human Resources Service function for SAPOL.
We are seeking a truly outstanding communicator who possesses proactivity, a sense of urgency, calmness under pressure, strategic insight and advanced political acumen and pragmatism. The appointee will embody and role model the essence of the best attributes of a positive and collaborative, high performance, responsive and ethical organisational culture.
You will bring to the role an immense depth and breadth of experience across the whole human resource management and leadership spectrum including attraction, retention, development, coaching, succession planning, WHS, diversity and inclusion, industrial relations, organisational development, workforce planning, payroll management, leadership and team development, performance appraisal, conflict resolution, injury management and return to work and human resource governance. You will be joining an Executive Leadership Team renowned for its foresight and application of international best practice policing and leadership behaviours.
We anticipate that your substantial experience and superb personal qualities will be supplemented by relevant tertiary qualifications and attributes which reflect a key understanding of the need to balance strategic leadership and direction with hands on operational outcomes.
